Nationality rule change for MPs

Candidates seeking nomination to the St Kitts and Nevis parliament will have to take oaths stating that they do not hold dual citizenship. That's under a bill being introduced in the National Assembly on Friday. Penalties include fines and imprisonment. The issue of dual nationality has become a controversial issue in the run-up to federal elections. This week two opposition politicians announced they had given up their US citizenship.

The value that you experience in life is precisely equal to the value that you put into life. You can make your journey a miserable burden, or you can make it a joyous celebration. In the Dominica Football Association (DFA) leagues the round 16 continues this week with ACS Tarish taking on Lion Hearts on Wednesday while on Thursday it will be Sign Man All Stars playing against Brian Strikers and on Friday Busta Warner will come up against Genesis Sports Club. All of these matches will be played at the Bath Estate playing field and begin from 6pm. In the final matches for this weekend Public Relations Officer for the DFA says that on Saturday Trafalgar takes on Grand Fond on the Bath Estate Playing field from 4:30pm while at the Benjamin Park in Ports Mouth Possie united will battle with DFA Nature boys from 3:30pm

Fast Cash Reuben’s Bakery Sesame maintained their unbeaten position in the 2009 Lime Harlem Football League with a 4-0 win wiping out Real Kings Hill. 2 goals came from Pascal Victor and one each from Ben Walter and Collin Bernard. Western Union continues their own unbeaten season with a 4-0 win toasting out Tremors. Element Agencies Bath Estate captured the National vest in a tough fight against Veterans winning them with a 2- 1 victory last Saturday night.
